Recently I was having a conversation with Juliette Wolf-Robin, she mentioned a research tool that she's been working on...a relevant new spin on source books...

FOUND is a new series of elegantly designed, large-format, industry targeted promotional books enabling commercial photographers to reach the buyers who will be most interested in their work. Each book in the series is tailored to buyers in one of six industry segments:
· Consumers
· Fashion/Retail
· Home/Garden
· Travel/Leisure
· Food/Beverage
· Health/Wellness
The targeted approach makes the most efficient use of artists’ marketing dollars, since they pay only for the industries they choose to reach.
For artists, a carefully considered design scheme eliminates the need to compete for viewers’ attention. FOUND limits every edition to 100 artists, while each artist appears on only one, uncluttered spread per book. A streamlined, online production process makes it easy for artists to submit their work. They simply select one of 15 templates and upload their images. FOUND takes care of the rest. http://www.foundfolios.com

A great way to get caught up with agents, photo editors and art producers from all over the country.
I also... Sarah Small

Yesterday, Sarah Small sent me a note letting me know that she is part of a group show of Polaroid-based artists curated by Marshall Kappel in Dumbo on Thursday. (Check Snap Indigo's Events section for further details.)
She went on to mention that she also has a record release the same evening for her Bulgarian a Cappella Quartet, Black Sea Hotel.
I find it refreshing and smart to for her to share her outside artistic endeavors with Art Producers as it gives us insight into her personality.

Throughout the years, I have thrown out boxes and boxes of printed material. There are a few pieces that have survived. I'll be posting them periodically to give you a sampling of what stood the test of time.

Today, I was on Design Taxi once again trying to figure out what category I fall into when describing my profession. This time around I'm a Producer.

The following are two links leading to a mash up of my thoughts and interests. Most recently, I've been delving into the field of conflict resolution...take a look to see how it intersects with the advertising/media/design industries.
