Asian Artists - AJ Dimarucot -The Philippines
Posted on 04/24/09 10:07 PM

Part of my job as an Art Producer is commissioning art for clients. When I feel inspired, sometimes I commission artists myself.
The artwork on the left was done by AJ Dimarucot. It's created from Filipino references and an old family photography that I love: mom in cat glasses standing next to a water buffalo.
I came across AJ's work when I was doing some research on Filipino designers. I realized that he was one of the designer of a bench I had seen at the Manila F.A.M.E. International show. He was super easy to work with and able to stick to a schedule. We worked digitally and then I had it printed by a fine art printer in New York.
